Éanna Walsh: 26 from Ireland

 

Hey,

 

My name is Éanna and in early June of 2013 I was just your average 24 year old guy from kildare who had returned home to Ireland from working abroad. 

 

I didn't know it yet and despite sounding stereotypically dramatic my life was about to take a filthy turn down a road travelled by 1% of the Irish population. Later that summer I would experience a severe break through manic episode resulting in a BiPolar Disorder Diagnosis.

 

This is the story of how my life has changed since that day & how I am now training to fight in an effort to draw attention to BiPolar Disorder & give people who suffer in silence a voice. I will share exactly what happened to me with honesty. Some may laugh, some may cry, some will be pissed off & some won't give a damn. I don't really care what people think once it helps spark a real, clean cut conversation about mental health in today's world. It won't be everyone's cup of tea but it's a story that I want to share with people who will listen despite the difficulties that come with such an undertaking.
